Tremcar on a roll with its new Edmonton branch

On November 4th the leaders of the family-owned business Tremcar, the tank trailer manufacturer headquartered in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, welcomed over 100 people to their new service center located in Edmonton for a grand opening.
The manufacturer and repairer of tanker trailers hopes the new location, three times larger than the old facility, will allow the largest to stock more parts and provide better service to its customers.
Tremcar Inc. moved its activities from Sherwood Park Aurum Energy Park, to 1750 Aurum Rd., Edmonton to be closer to its customers and optimize service. “We had qualified personnel but with only three doorways, we were unable to satisfy the demand of our customers. We worked at full capacity! ‘Said general manager John Sadoway.
“While the western provinces are going through a period of economic uncertainty due to low oil prices, Tremcar executives are confident to witness an energy sector rebound. Nothing new under the sun, we have already seen this in the past. Nevertheless tanker trailers continue to transport crude oil today, and that carriers will always need maintenance and repairs, “added Jacques Tremblay, co-owner of Tremcar.
“We inspect, test and repair everybody’s trailers, not just our own,” Williams said. “Hopefully at some point the sales (of new tanks) will drive the service…they kind of go together.” Tremcar West’s vice-president Darren Williams said.
Although he said crude oil sales are presently very soft, business was not too bad in other areas.
“Luckily, Tremcar is diversified enough that we make milk tankers and chemical trailers. If we were solely crude oil and petroleum, we’d be dying right now.”
